Manufactured in 1964, this DB5 was supplied new by Langley Motors of Tolworth in Surrey to Elm Autosales Ltd. for use by their Managing Director. He had the pleasure of using the Aston Martin until in 1969 it was sold to T A Lee of Shepperton. He kept the car a further five years until it was sold to P Shires of Cheam who owned and enjoyed it until 1982, achieving a 3rd place in a concours competition in Greenwich. The DB5 was then cherished by a handful of documented owners until in 2002 it was purchased by the current owner.

Over the years a small fortune has been lavished upon the car with renowned Aston Martin specialists. Recent works include an underbody refurbishment and cavity wax injection in 2010, a gearbox rebuild in 2009, new headlining and Wilton carpets in 2008, engine seal replacement, new clutch and a new exhaust system including manifolds in 2007. The engine was rebuilt by Oselli in 2000 at a cost in excess of £15,000 including converting the cylinder head to unleaded specification since when it has covered only approximately 14,000 miles. The result is a magnificently sorted motor car which drives, handles and stops exactly as it should.

DPG 306B is delightfully presented in its original Dubonnet Rosso with a tan leather interior and chrome wire wheels. Another factory option is the desirable "selectaride"adjustable damping system. The comfortable and stylish interior is supplemented by a period Motorola radio which has been converted to FM.

The Aston Martin is supplied with UK registration document, MoT certificate and historic tax valid until the end of July 2012 and the extensive history file which includes MoT certificates, tax discs, heritage certificate, invoices, the original owner"s manual and a copy of the factory workshop manual.

This cherished motor car is in wonderful condition, superbly maintained and ready to be used and enjoyed and would be the star of any significant collection.
