Lotus Elan Sprint DHC, 1973. Manufactured in 1972 to “Historic Vehicle” and therefore road-tax fee exempt.

Stunning paintwork finished to a very high standard indeed. Rebuilt a number of years ago on a replacement chassis, with new wishbones, suspension, copper brake lines and aeroquip brake hoses. Fitted with Spydersport roll over bar kit. Fitted with Mick Miller drive-shaft conversion. Replacement wiring loom, alternator, steering rack etc. Replacement Dellorto carbs. Replacement fuel tank.

Original engine rebuilt less than 4,000 miles ago with new water-pump and full clutch assembly. History file comes with original dealer’s order in 1973 and a letter from Lotus Cars Ltd. confirming that the car is an original Sprint Drophead. Thick history file going back through the decades.
