Voting in the the 2011 Classic Car of the Year, backed by Lancaster Insurance, has closed, and the five finalists have been announced.

From the many cars entered, and the whittled-down list of twenty, here are the five finalists:

• 1961 Morris Mini Minor Deluxe
• 1973 Ford Capri 3.0 GX
• 1955 MG Magnette ZA
• Jaguar E-type series II
• 1975 Jensen Interceptor Convertible 

The five finalists will be on show at the Classic Car of the Year stand at the Classic Motor Show, held at Birmingham’s NEC. The show will run from the 11th - 13th November, 2011.

The owners of the five cars will be in attendance, and they've each a story to tell about the history of the car, its restoration, and its recent exploits and experiences.
