Millions of people across the country were involved in four days of festivities, fun and general relaxation, with almost everyone taking advantage of the four day weekend provided as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

There were parties and events held up and down the UK, with one happening in Cornwall allowing for classic car enthusiasts to celebrate in their own special way.

Over 70 vintage vehicles lined up to proceed through the centre of Torquay, in order to let the crowds of people get a look at cars which have been present on our roads throughout the six decades of the Queen's reign and beyond.

A number of other concurrent events across the county involved classic cars, including the lighting of various beacons used to celebrate the jubilee, at locations including Daddyhole Plain and Berry Head.

In a summer that is sure to inspire all sorts of patriotic activity, a celebration of classic British cars is always going to be a worthwhile event to hold.

Now people are likely to get behind the England team as they take part in the European cup, before cheering on British participants in the 2012 London Olympics.
