Volunteers are being called upon to help out at the Heritage Motor Centre located in Warwickshire.
Managers of the museum are hoping that they will be able to entice eager classic car enthusiasts with the chance of working amongst the collection of close to 300 heritage vehicles.
At present, there is only space for 180 cars to be shown at the centre itself, with the rest either stored remotely or loaned to other organisations for exhibition.
Funding from the Lottery has recently been secured by the museum, with the initial payment of £50K destined to go towards planning for suitable expansion. This will lead to enhanced storage space for the classic car collection on-site. In turn, the new facilities will ensure that a greater number of vehicles become available to view by the general public.
However, the money raised by the museum is still not enough to cover all of its needs. It is therefore aiming to get a group of volunteers together in order to help it move forward over the coming months and years.
If you want to become involved, you can contact the museum direct and express an interest to help.
